Yoga: Mountain pose (Tadasana)

Stand tall in Mountain Pose (Tadasana).
Also known as upward salute.

Feet together.
Arms hang naturally at your side.
Arms straight fingers downward.
Palms face thighs.
Rotate arms from shoulders so palms face forward.
Inhale.
Raise fingers toward the sky.
Shoulders stay low away from ears.

Palms face inward.
Eyes forward.
Stand tall.

Lengthen arms as you arch your back slightly.
If you’re more flexible it’s ok to touch your palms together as you lift.
Lengthen your arms as you gaze towards your hands.

Stay relaxed.
Breath as you pull your stomach in and raise your heart while planting your hips towards the earth.

Be confident and comfortable as you maneuver calmly between the poses.
