Charlie the dog poem

Charlie, my small and loud Yorkie,

A puppy once, so full of glee, He filled my heart in a dark time, When love was hard, and hard to find.

He thought he was a cat, it's true, Rubbing his neck on walls, like they do, Smart and quick to learn new tricks, But seeking more attention, than I could give.

I've not always been the best, I know, But grateful for his love, that will always grow, Worried when he got lost, in our new home, But together we've always found our way back home.

Life moves too fast, and time slips away, But Charlie, my love for you will always stay, Growing older, but still as cute as can be, Forever in my heart, my dear Charlie.
