Missing Dad

 My dad has always been my hero,

A man to look up to, never zero, He's had a strong back and shoulders to lean on, Always listening to my troubles, never gone.

He values truth and integrity, But never judges me too harshly, He's always there to help, We could confide in him, go to him, live with him, yelp.

He has the best smile and the best laugh, I wish I lived closer to him, on a path, He's always lived too far away, I feel like that's been a great mistake in my life, it's a sway.

Living far from family is our system's downfall, Family splits are the worst, it's a brawl, I miss him dearly, every day, But I know he's always just a phone call away.
